Campaign Update // 12.13.2016
Broadway Bikeway study will continue through December 2017! This is a huge success for biking in Denver. Thank you Denver Public Works, Councilmember Jolon Clark, the Broadway Merchants Association, Baker Historic Neighborhood Association, and the #BikesonBroadway coalition for activating the study area to encourage a safe place for people on bikes to travel!
After the City committed to installing Protected Bike Lanes on Brighton Boulevard in north Denver, BikeDenver started advocating for Bikes on Broadway. The goal of the Bikes on Broadway project is to build a Protected Bike Lane on the 8-mile stretch between I-25 and Brighton Boulevard down to and I-70 and Broadway.

In February of 2015, BikeDenver hosted a "Love-In" at the City and County Building steps to declare our love for "Bikes on Broadway" to Mayor Hancock. This initiative was a first step in our campaign for Bikes on Broadway.
In collaboration with the City of Denver's Public Works Department, BikeDenver installed a temporary, 3-day demonstration protected bike lane in September 2015 as part of the public input process for the Broadway/Lincoln Corridor Study.
