Denver, CO., September 2, 2015 BikeDenver is proud to present "Cycle Culture Colorado: We BikeDenver," a special show by Denver-based photographer Evan Semón, taking place at Racines Restaurant.
"Cycle Culture Colorado: We BikeDenver" features 10 large watercolor giclee prints that explore the different aspects of the state's cycling culture while also showcasing cycling as an important mode of transportation. The show features colorful images from the USA Pro Challenge, Bike to Work Day, Tour de Fat, Pedal the Plains and Denver Bike Sharing's B-Cycle program. The exhibit marks Semón's second showing, the first was at John Fielder's Colorado gallery.
"Riding a bike brings an unmatured sense of freedom. Learning to ride a bike gives us our first taste of independence; we are never the same." Semón said.
Semón has teamed up with BikeDenver to promote bike-minded businesses across the city. The show includes 6 portraits featuring members of BikeDenver's new Business Cycles annual membership program in an effort to highlight local businesses that are advancing bicycling in our great city. The businesses are: Streetsblog Denver, DESIGN & IMAGE, GhostRanch Communications, 303 Software, Frame de Art, and Sweet Action Ice Cream.
